Even though it might make your partner angry or seem wrong, it’s just as easy to fall in love with two people as it is with one. It’s the same, and it shouldn’t be any different. Love is an emotion felt when the signs are right.
You really like someone, you think they’re attractive, and you’re excited to be sexually intimate with them, and then bam! You end up in love. Now you meet someone else. You find them attractive and you’re looking forward to being sexually active with them, and bam! You fall in love with someone new.

It’s silly to think that you can’t love more than one person. When one fall in love with two people, many teenagers and even people who are already in a relationship feel threatened. Relax. Even if you’re falling in love with someone else, it doesn’t mean you love your partner any less.
I remember having the same mixed feelings when I was in a relationship with my boyfriend (who is now my ex!). He had to go away for a year and a half to do research, leaving me all alone to wait for him to come back. I also met another guy I really liked. And he liked me too.
After a month, I was totally crazy about this new guy I had met. But I was still in love with my own boyfriend as well. So there I was, confused and too happy to think straight. I loved two people, and the fact that both of them loved me back made me very happy.
But I never thought I loved two people because I knew I cheated on both of them. I felt like a clever temptress who was luring single men into her bed. I couldn’t believe that someone could love more than one person at once. It just didn’t seem right. But when I think back, I wasn’t doing anything wrong. Anyone could have it happen to them.
Can someone love more than one person at the same time?
Simple answer: yes, you can; the real question is whether or not you want to. Love has never been and never will be something that only happens once. Different things make you fall in love with different people. And sometimes you get romantically interested in two different people at the same time.
Even though it’s impossible not to fall in love with someone, it’s still up to you. You can also avoid falling in love with a second person by taking a step back and stopping the flirty conversations and sneaky dates.
How do we end up loving two people at the same time?
As I’ve already said, falling in love is not an emotion that only happens once and never happens again. But even so, it’s not easy to love more than one person at the same time.
When you’re in a later stage of with your current partner, it’s always easier to fall for someone else. When you’re in two different stages of love, the feelings you have don’t contradict each other. And it’s two different things that happen at the same time. Men go through different stages of love.
You may feel passionately in love with your partner. However, mature love is very different from the passionate, fiery love you feel at the start of a relationship. So, it’s easy to feel both stages of love at the same time when you feel the same fiery passion for someone else.
Don't compare your lovers.
Most people who fall in love with a new person start to compare them to their previous partner. And almost always, they think the new partner is more attractive, loving, and caring. Is that really true, though?
Don’t forget that sexual passion can fade over time, but true love can grow into a happy relationship. New lover may remind you of your earlier years of love, but you have to realize that the lusty excitement of the new secret relationship will only last for a few months or years. So, if you have to compare your lovers, look at how well they work together instead of how much they love each other.
What can go wrong when you love two people?
We are not ready as a society to love two people at the same time. And that’s the most important problem. Even if you love someone other than your partner, it’s always seen as cheating, not as a budding relationship.
So, the best thing to do when you’re in a relationship with two people is to break up with one of them. Even though it’s hard, it’s the best way out. But if you really want two lovers and can’t imagine giving one up, here are a few things you should think about and do to make it work.
Would it be okay with your partner?
If you want to love more than one person at the same time, you have to tell both of them. Do you think your partner would be emotionally strong and mature enough to accept your decision? Are you ready for a relationship with no rules?
Love and being jealous
You might try to keep your two relationships in balance by giving each one the same amount of attention. But can you be sure that neither of your partners will feel jealous of the other?
Does your partner want to get back at you?
Let’s face it. When you have two lovers, you always get to have twice as much fun. What will you do if your partner wants to get back at you by having a sexual relationship with someone else?
Not morally right
Sharing a bed with two lovers is not a morally acceptable thing to do. Are you able to handle that?
A friend of mine moved to the United States from a small town in Tibet where polyandry (when a woman has more than one husband) is common. She has two fathers, but she doesn’t know which one is her biological father. Since she loves both of them equally, she has no plans to find out who her biological father is. In some situations, people accept this kind of love without any psychological effects, but in other situations, it can lead to confusing relationships over time.
What to do when you love more than one person?
The answer is simple but up to the person. Do what feels right to you. That’s as easy as it gets. Most of the time, if you fall in love with two people, the best thing to do would be to end one relationship and be happy with the other. And if it’s just a crush, you might not need to make yourself crazy with your feelings. Crushes come and go, and even if they turn into something serious, you can always walk away from a new potential lover if you need to.
If you asked me, I’d say one thing. Love is hard, and it’s easier to love just one person, no matter who it is. If you choose two, you’ve just made things twice as hard.
